Why We Reimagined SCADA
Traditional SCADA systems are often monolithic, expensive to implement, and difficult to maintain. Visualizations are built in proprietary environments, require specialized knowledge, and are tied to the hardware they run on. At Skillworks, we asked ourselves: does it have to be this way?
The answer is Skillworks SCADA — a fully web-based platform for process visualization and plant monitoring. It runs in the browser, can also be used on mobile devices, and integrates into existing system landscapes without replacing them.
What Skillworks SCADA Delivers
At the core is an intuitive drag-and-drop designer that lets you build plant layouts in minutes — no programming required. A comprehensive module library covers the typical elements of conveyor technology, intralogistics, and manufacturing: conveyor belts, lifts, sensors, spots, and much more.
Multiple users can work on the same layout simultaneously. Changes are highlighted in real time — collaborative editing without version conflicts.
"We wanted a solution that adapts to the customer's systems — not the other way around. Skillworks SCADA does exactly that."
Seamless Integration into Existing Infrastructures
Skillworks SCADA speaks the language of your plant. Existing MQTT brokers can be connected directly. The built-in JOLT converter translates any JSON message format into the Skillworks data structure — without modifying source systems. Retrofit has never been easier.
For companies already using OPC UA or TCP/IP-based control systems, corresponding protocol extensions are firmly on the roadmap.
Control Room Operations in the Browser
In the productive live view, control room staff see material flow, plant status, and counters in near real time — color-coded, clear, and scalable for large displays. No dedicated software, no local installation. Just open the browser and get to work.
User and role management is natively integrated: designer permissions and control room access can be managed granularly, including integration with existing CAS/SSO systems.
Who Is Skillworks SCADA For?
The platform targets companies in logistics, automotive, manufacturing, and intralogistics — anywhere that plants need to be made transparent, processes monitored, and systems connected. Whether it's a new project, a retrofit, or the gradual replacement of a legacy system: Skillworks SCADA adapts to your situation.
